If you are in service to God, lean not on your own understanding of what service to the Most High means. For there will come a time that your desired path of service to Him may differ from the path of service He may ask of you. But I ask you my brethren: will you know, will you yield to His voice should He call you to a different path than the one you have familiarized? If He sends to you a messenger from your family, a friend, a complete stranger even, a messenger from a source you may not be expecting—do you know whom you serve well enough to recognize His voice when He speaks?

My brethren; whatever avenue He chooses to communicate with you, will you know His voice when He speaks? Will you humble yourself in submission to accept the path He will ask of you?

A God-fearing man says to himself, 'I will live a life dedicated to sowing seed that I might grow abundant crops and help feed the poor; that will be my service to God.' So for many seasons he lives as a sower of the seed and the product of his work is indeed abundant. Friends and family, even strangers take notice of his beautiful crops and one day he is asked by those at the market how they too might have such wonderful crops. He begins to teach and as he teaches several strangers who are teachers of the Law hear him speak.

They tell him he is gifted in teaching and they invite him to consider a life of teaching, of sowing spiritual seed, but he is caught: for he loves to work the ground and comfortable doing so but also he loves God. If he leaves sowing seed the poor will not have as much grain, he worries; the poor might starve without him. But I tell you he himself is poor for he does not recognize the voice of God calling him to richer fields to sow. While he has his own ideas of service to the Almighty, the Most High has His own plan for the God-fearing seed sower.

So I bid you my brethren not to forget that God our Father, for the service He has reserved for us, prepares us for that path by using an introductory path for us as a form of spiritual, and even physical and emotional, seasoning. Do not become complacent upon the path you assume you will tarry for life, as, while it may not change, our hearts must always remain supple to the leading of our LORD when He calls us out of our comfort path.

His work for you may change my brethren, for as you are refined along the paths He sets before you, so the proportionate work along the paths will change. As you grow, your work grows; as you are changed, the effect you have on your work changes, even to the point of your path changing to accommodate the refinement God has done in you, or needs to do in you. Be not set in your paths my brethren and let the Almighty lead as He will.
:) I know of more people that know not the voice of the Lord or if they do, they deliberately ignore Him because what he asks is not congruent to their agenda or views of things. It saddens and frustrates me as these people that do so sabotage themselves for a greater blessing. So keep your heart supple my friends and know Him well enough to let Him lead and guide you even if it doesn't match your idea of things. Sometimes He desires to surprise us but first we have to trust Him. :aww: God bless. :rose:

A good reminder to always trust in the Lord and be willing to follow wheresoever He leads.
